ANGELIKA KIRCHSCHLAGER
Kammersängerin Angelika Kirchschlager comes from Salzburg and studied singing at the Vienna Music Academy with Walter Berry and Gerhard Kahry. She is equally successful on the opera and concert stages.
She has appeared at the world's most important opera houses and concert halls, including La Scala Milan, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera, the Opéra Bastille, the Bavarian State Opera, the Salzburg Festival, the Deutsche Oper as well as the Philharmonie Berlin and the San Francisco Opera. She made her debut at the Vienna State Opera in 1994 as Cherubino.
She has also appeared here as Orlofsky, Jenny Hill, Rosina, Nicklausse, Octavian, composer, Valencienne, Silla, Lauretta, Stephano, Dorabella, Clairon, Zerlina, among others. She had great success both at the world premiere in London and at the Vienna Volksoper in the title role of Sophie's Choice.
In 2007 she was awarded the title of Austrian Kammersängerin, and in 2009 she was appointed an honorary member of the Royal Academy of Music in London. Among her most important awards are the GRAMMY Award, the BBC Music Award, the European Culture Prize, the Austrian Music Theatre Prize and four ECHO Klassik Awards.
DONKA ANGATSCHEVA
The Austrian concert pianist and Bösendorfer artist with Bulgarian roots received her Master's degree from the University of Music in Vienna, where she studied with the famous Professor Heinz Medjimorec and then at the Queen Elisabeth College of Music, Brussels, with the renowned Artemis Quartet.
Her lively concert activities, both as a soloist and with well-known orchestras, have meanwhile brought her international recognition and allowed her skills to mature.
She gives concerts on the major stages of the world, including the Musikvereinssaal and Konzerthaus in Vienna, Franz Liszt Raiding Concert Hall, Tonhalle in Zurich, the Concert Halls in Olten, Flagey-Brussels, Brussels, Menton and Montpellier.
DALIBOR KARVAY
Dalibor Karvay started playing the violin at the age of three under the guidance of his father. After graduating from the Žilina Conservatory, where he studied under prof. Bohumil Urban, he embarked on a course of study at the Vienna Conservatory in the class of the renowned professor Boris Kuschnir.
Dalibor Karvay has worked with many renowned conductors including Leif Segerstam, Ion Marin, Hiroyuki Iwaki, Jaap van Zweden, Marek Janowski, Alexander Rahbari, Benjamin Wallfisch and Ondrej Lenárd. His cooperation with orchestras also makes for an impressive list: the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra, the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Camerata Salzburg, the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin, the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, the Prague Symphony Orchestra, the English Chamber Orchestra, the Het Gelders Orkest, the Solistes Européens Luxembourg and the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 2020, Dalibor Karvay was appointed first concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra after winning his audition. In addition to his active concert career, Karvay has been a violin professor at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna since 2014.

Barbara Holtzmann was Beethoven‘s housekeeper in Vienna. He jokingly called her "Frau Schnaps“ or "My Fast Sailing Frigate“. Despite his insults and suspicious controls, she endured him the longest. For the composer, servants were lesser people whom he treated with suspicion and harshness. In his conversation booklet we can read: "She washes poorly too.(Frau Schnaps) She makes new stains in it, before she brings out the old ones". In this programme, Chris Pichler slips into the role of Frau Schnaps. Based on historical testimonies, documents, conversation booklets and letters, she tells us in a monologue from close quarters about Beethoven, his life and work. Wholeheartedly she describes anecdotes, concert successes and failures, women‘s affairs and other incidents and disputes in the Beethoven house. All this is accompanied by the amusing and cheerful music of Frau Schnaps' employer, performed in a special arrangement by Ana Topalovic on cello and Bogdan Laketic on accordion.

CHRIS PICHLER
Chris Pichler was born in Linz and studied acting at the Vienna Conservatory. She was engaged at the German National Theater Weimar and later at the Vienna Volkstheater and Theater in der Josefstadt.
She also performed at various other stages and festivals, including Schauspiel Frankfurt, Berliner Ensemble, Deutsche Schauspielhaus Hamburg, the Vienna Festival, Ruhr Festival Recklinghausen, Hans Otto Theater Potsdam and Staatstheater Meiningen. She has worked with directors such as Manfred Karge, Amélie Niermeyer, Anselm Weber, Josef Köpplinger, Hermann Beil, Georg Schmiedleitner, Frank Hoffmann, Leander Haußmann and Uwe Eric Laufenberg. She also directs herself and develops and writes solo recitals and libretti for musical evenings.
She was awarded the ORF radio play prize as "Actor of the Year" and received the German Critics' Prize, the European Capital of Culture Prize and the Prix Europa. At the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Chris Pichler plays Mrs. Cheveley in "The Ideal Husband" and, after "Romy Schneider - Two Faces of a Woman", presents another of her celebrated solo performances, "Ich - Marilyn".
ANNA TOPALOVIC
Ana Topalovic is an innovative artist - she is a (multi)cellist, composer and arranger and multiple award winner. Ana gives concerts in Carnegie Hall, Wiener Musikverein, Konzerthaus, Gasteig Munich, at the Salzburg Festival...
Through her expanded, synaesthetic sensory perception, music opens up to her not only in the dimension of sound but also in visual impressions and literally manifests in color and shape.
This rare gift enables her to not only discover hidden relationships within the composition itself but also between ostensibly very different works. In this way, highly interesting concert programs with surprising combinations of old and new are created.
For Ana Topalovic it is also a matter of course not to understand music in isolation, but to relate it to other art movements: whether in dance, drama or the visual arts - Ana Topalovic builds bridges between genres.
Her particular preference for extraordinary performance techniques comes into play here.
BOGDAN LAKETIC
Bogdan Laketic is a dynamic soloist, ensemble musician and member of numerous groups of different styles.
He has performed in concert halls such as: Carnegie Hall NY, Musikverein Wien, Tonhalle Zürich, Hermitage Theater St. Petersburg, Teatro del Lago Chile, Kolarac Belgrade, Katsushika Symphony Hills Tokyo.
He also deals extensively with contemporary music; more than fifteen of his world premieres are the result of active collaboration with young composers.
He gives concerts at festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Kissinger Sommer, Wien Modern, Impuls Graz, Festival de música de Morelia in Mexico, ISA International Composition Festival in Vienna, Chiloe Concertante Festival in Chile, Summerwinds Festival in Münsterland, Germany, Musical Olympus Festival, Johor Bahru Festival in Malaysia, European Arts Forum, Bridge Festival in Mürzzuschlag, Austria, alpenarte Festival, Ohrid Summer Festival in North Macedonia, Portugal, Belgium, Malaysia, Japan, USA and others.

SELINI QUARTET
Coming from Russia, Romania and Greece, the four musicians met in Vienna, where they formed the Selini Quartet in 2017. Since then, thanks to their commitment to the score, combined with their powerful sound and wide range of emotions, they have been performing around Europe and have won prestigious awards. All of these accolades have led the Selini Quartet to be selected to represent Austria's music scene across the world, through the "NASOM-New Austrian Sound Of Music" program, for the seasons 2020-2022.
They have been invited to perform in some of Vienna’s major concert venues such as the Wiener Musikverein, Vienna Konzerthaus, Schuberthaus, Beethoven Museum, Beethovenhaus Baden, ORF RadioKulturhaus, MuTh, Pölz Halle Amstetten, Burgtheater, Hofburg. Abroad, they have appeared in countries like Germany, Greece, France, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Croatia, the UK and Belgium.
Their performances have included appearances at the "Istanbul Music Festival", "Steirisches Kammermusikfestival" in Graz, at the "Kalkalpen Kammermusikfestival" in Grossraming, at the “Aegina International Music Festival” in Greece, at the "Harmos Festival" in Portugal, at the "Prague Clarinet Days“ Festival, at the "Classix Festival " in Romania, at the "Art Novi Festival" in Croatia, at the "Festspillene Helgeland" in Norway, "Capraia Music Festival" in Italy and more.
The Selini Quartet is a prizewinner of several competitions, such as "Prague Spring International Music Competition" 2021 (Czech Republic), "Ysaye International Music Competition" 2021 (Belgium), "mdw great talent award" 2021 (Austria), "Szymanowski International Music Competition" 2018 (Poland) as well as of the "Artis Quartet Prize" of ISA Competition (Austria) 2018. In 2019 the ensemble was admitted to the ECMA - European Chamber Music Academy, where it is supervised by some of the world's leading chamber music specialists and given the opportunity to perform at major concert halls and festivals in Europe. Further invitations followed to “Le Dimore del Quartetto”, Chamber Music Residency program of “Festival d’Aix en Provence” and Musethica.
In the same year the quartet was invited to teach at the Toppen International Summer Academy (Norway). With the guidance of Johannes Meissl (Artis Quartett), they have been working since their formation, on developing the deepest understanding of music. They have also been inspired by other wonderful musicians such as Hatto Beyerle (Alban Berg Quartett), Evgenia Epstein (Aviv Quartet), Peter Schumayer (Artis Quartett), Patrick Juedt, David Alberman (Arditti Quartet), Andras Keller (Keller Quartet), Pavel Vernikov, Leonard Roczek (Minetti Quartett), Diotima Quartet, Vida Vujic and more.
Upcoming projects include performances in concert halls such as Wiener Musikverein, "Pfarrsaal" Zell am See and "Kunsthaus" Horn.

Musical passion. That nicely sums up the spirit of the “Janoska Style”, with which the Janoska Ensemble has shot to international fame in no time – and certainly not just because of the consummate mastery of its instruments.
At each performance the four artists dazzle their audience with their music and their vast reserves of creative energy. They see it as a personal challenge to fulfil, no to surpass, the high hopes of their fans.
True art knows no frontiers, and the music of the three brothers from Bratislava Ondrej, František and Roman Janoska and their Konstanz-born brother-in-law Julius Darvas proves that in remarkable fashion: their musical creations happily harmonize or colourfully contrast their classical fach with the music of other genres – from jazz and Latin to pop music.
The consequence is not a mix of styles, however, it is a creative synthesis: the Janoska Style. This style, apart from its innate spirit, defies description in words. Janoska Style is not a static fixture, mounted on a musical platform, crossing all boundaries of content, it is a spontaneous phenomenon. Five strong creative forces shape its profile: the unmistakable handwriting of the arrangements and the hands of their four skilled musical exponents.
Then there is the dynamic resonance, that anticipation that builds up in the concert audience and feeds back to the artists. After all, they are playing with their audience’s knowledge of music, freely communicating widely known classical themes only to guide the ears of their listeners – slowly or suddenly – into surprisingly appropriate themes from quite different musical disciplines, without any sense of a break in style.
On the contrary, the act of listening is an irresistible pleasure. There is no template, no set formula, for this special ability of the Janoska Ensemble to create imaginative music. Nothing is merely adapted; every note, every motif, is lovingly and playfully reinvented. Janoska Style is far more than just a “sound”, it is “music to be lived” – you have to listen to it and feel it live.
The genial musicians have already played on four continents and are constantly developing new projects. They have repeatedly played suitably expanded arrangements in concert with celebrated European orchestras.
